03/02/2013: John Turton triptych for sale in Gold Coast Hilton foyer

A huge John Turton triptych is currently hanging in the foyer of the Hilton Gold Coast. Each piece measures 1 x 2 metres – total size 3 x 2 metres; it is for sale.

03/02/2013: Skycity Casino commission

John recently provided a commission of artworks including 11 paintings and 56 drawings for the Skycity Casino in Darwin, as part of their new refurbishment.

28/10/10: Possibilities – summer workshop teaching program confirmed

John has accepted an invitation to teach a series of workshops entitled Possibilities at the Atwell Arts Centre in January 2011. The workshop mission: to experiment and explore conventional media such as oil, charcoal, acrylic, watercolour, coloured inks and pastels in non-conventional and expressive ways.

The Possibilities workshop program will include:
Energetic Drawing with Brush, Pencil and Charcoal
Oil and Pastel on Paper
Go Wild With Colour
Painting with Knife, Brush, Finger, Other – outside the square stuff
Construction of a Painting
Painting with Texture and/or other (collage)
